When a murder shocks 1938 Los Angeles, Detective Tiago Vega (DANIEL ZOVATTO) and his partner Lewis Michener (NATHAN LANE) pursue the case during a historic period of great change: from the construction of the city\u2019s freeways to the infiltration of Third Reich spies and the rise of radio evangelism. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels<\/em><\/strong> is presented with a 1.78 as originally televised\/streamed on Showtime and although there is some slight artifacting normal with standard definition releases, still looks rather good with some boost of color amongst the darker fantasy element and the 1930s era.<\/p>\n

Each episode comes with a standard Dolby Digital 5.1 track which is satisfactory if not average for TV on DVD releases. Dialogue comes through with clarity and there is some modest depth via the rear channels for the music and ambient noises.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
