While trying to expose the truth, he soon finds himself risking his future, his family and his own life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Quick Hit Review: <em>Dark Waters<\/em><\/strong> is a well made legal drama from director Todd Haynes, the filmmaker behind a couple decent dramas like <em>Carol<\/em> and <em>I\u2019m Not There<\/em>, that at times reminded me of Michael Mann\u2019s <em>The Insider<\/em> with the personal journey and sacrifices by a main character and a fight for justice against a corrupt corporation (or organization). Stylistically, through cinematographer Edward Lachman (<em>The Virgin Suicides<\/em>, <em>Erin Brockovich<\/em>), is a dark (no pun intended) looking movie, with a mix of both cool and warm tones depending on the environment, so colors are certainly muted in keeping with the serious topic.
