Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Thief extraordinaire Hudson Hawk (BRUCE WILLIS) has just been released from prison and all he wants is a nice cappuccino. However, before he can savor his favorite beverage, the highly eccentric and wealthy Darwin Mayflower (RICHARD E. GRANT) and his equally odd wife, Minerva (SANDRA BERNHARD), rope\u00a0Hawk into an ambitious series of heists. Soon Hawk is stealing no less than major works by Leonardo Da Vinci, priceless pieces that the Mayflowers plan to use in an exceedingly nefarious way.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>This slapstick crime-comedy has received its share of lambasting and while some is justified, for the most part this is a light-weight film that one can pop on and from time to time, manage to put a smile on your face, more so than the groans at the jokes don\u2019t quite land, plus Bruce Willis and slapstick don\u2019t usually go hand-in-hand. For myself, I\u2019d probably pop in one of the Naked Gun<\/em> movies or Airplane<\/em> to get my comedy fix, however there\u2019s nothing terribly wrong with Hudson Hawk<\/em><\/strong> especially if you\u2019re in the right mindset.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Mill Creek releases Hudson Hawk<\/em><\/strong> on Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer that presumably was provided by Sony. As such, there is a pretty heavy amount of noise however detail was pretty good and colors were generally bright and vibrant which is in keeping with the overall tone of the film.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes with a strong DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo track which provides for some decent enough depth for the action scenes and clear dialogue otherwise. Nothing terribly substantial, but effective for a movie like this.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

But this is a nice light watch for a lazy night.
