A group of military personnel have been assembled to, they believe, locate and disarm old active explosives which have been left unattended at a former army testing site on a remote island. But when they arrive, they soon discover that something doesn\u2019t seem quite right about their mission. And soon enough, they uncover a strange concrete block which after accidentally blowing up, unleashes an indestructible, bloodthirsty alien being which will stop at nothing to kill them.<\/p>\n

As the survivors band together in order to stay alive and try and find a way to outwit the diabolical creature, they realize that their entire mission might have been a trap and that the military is using them as pawns in their own vicious plan…<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Features are on the limited side, there are Interviews<\/strong> with Director Harry Bromley Davenport (20:07)<\/u><\/strong> and Writer\/Actor Daryl Haney (18:08)<\/u><\/strong> as well as the Original Trailer (1:21)<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Vinegar Syndrome releases Xtro 3<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray where it has been given a new 1080p high-definition transfer, scanned and restored in 2K from the original 35mm camera negative. Other than some wear and tear with some scratches and specs, for the most part this picture looks surprisingly good, detail is sharp and colors fairly bright. When you consider this is a micro budgeted independent movie from 25 years ago, I was impressed with yet another respectable transfer by VS.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo track, dialogue does come through with fine clarity but there is some minor hissing underlying the track and the depth is on the limited side. Otherwise, again taking into consideration a likely less than ideal sound design on location, it\u2019s certainly an upgrade over any previous releases.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
