Bill Chrushank (JEFF FAHEY) is a criminal psychologist who loses his arm and nearly his life in a grisly car accident. A daring medical operation follows, in which a donor\u2019s arm is successfully grafted onto Bill\u2019s body. But after the operation, the arm starts to take on a violent life of its own, striking out against Bill\u2019s wife (KIM DELANEY) and children.     Shout Factory releases Body Parts<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray, presented in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. Not sure if any restoration work was done or if the transfer was provided by Paramount, but the picture doesn\u2019t look too bad actually. Detail is relatively sharp while the natural film grain was on the softer side, though still colors were fairly decent albeit not exactly vibrant, instead likely how the film was originally shown in theaters and home video.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track (a 2.0 option is also available) and surprisingly, this was a strong track. Dialogue comes through the center channel, but some effective depth via the front and rear channels, both with the car accident as well as the score, most notably the opening credits.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Nothing I\u2019d really remember a month from now to be honest, but still worth checking out.
