Martha (DIANE KEATON) is an introverted woman who moves to a retirement community that has shuffleboard, golf, bowling and other activities. Hoping to be left alone, she meets Sheryl (JACKIE WEAVER), a fun-loving neighbor who insists that they become best pals. After coming out of her shell, Martha and her new friend decide to form a cheerleading squad with their fellow residents. As the two women hold auditions, they soon learn that it’s never too late to follow your dreams, even when the odds are stacked against you.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Poms<\/em><\/strong> brings it on\u2026 to Blu-ray presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and shown in the film\u2019s original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio. Although the main character is dealing with a disease, this light-hearted comedy shows its tone with bright colors throughout and detail is also relatively sharp and looks good in high-definition.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie includes a standard DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which I found to be nothing extraordinary but at least adequate providing clear dialogue via the center channel and some basic and minimal audio for the rear channels, which were primarily minor ambient noises.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Poms<\/em><\/strong> is a fine, even at times sweet, little comedy-drama featuring some great performances from its older cast, with Diane Keaton still showing she\u2019s got so much charm (wouldn\u2019t mind a Mother of the Groom<\/em> film) and for an audience of a certain age, this makes for a nice rental. The Blu-ray is on the basic side: no features but the video\/audio transfers were quite good.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
