She and her exotic-dancer friend Nikki (NIKKI MOORE) are stealing Seth’s riches in a series of brazen armed robberies. When their final heist goes horribly wrong, the two women must flee for their lives—with an unsuspecting Broza in hot pursuit.

Quick Hit Review: Originally released in the United Kingdom back in 2017, apparently took two years for some sucker of a production company (in this case Grindstone Entertainment) to pick up the rights and unleash this dull and terribly made crime-thriller upon the American masses. I really didn’t expect very much going in but kind of hoped it might be cheesy bad, but it’s just plain old bad-bad with some terrible writing/dialogue and even worse acting, with Tom Sizemore not exactly giving it his all and the director, Jacob Cooney, apparently not allowed to do second takes with the actor as he stumbled through his dialogue more than a few times.

There’s nothing new in The Assault and it’s one of those movies that will end up in some Wal-Mart bargain bin and someone in their 40s will remember Tom Sizemore was once a solid actor and co-starred in Michael Mann’s Heat and decide to snatch it up at a super low price. Honestly, even then they may feel ripped off. This is one that could’ve remained overseas.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 1.5/5

No features were included.

VIDEO – 3.0/5, AUDIO – 3.0/5

Lionsgate releases The Assault onto DVD presented with an anamorphic widescreen 2.35 aspect ratio where the cheap production design is on display along with camera work that was subpar and softness to the picture.
