Two estranged sisters (FRANCESCA EASTWOOD, TARYN MANNING) hatch a scheme to rob a bank to save their brother (SCOTT HAZE). MVD Visual opens The Vault<\/em><\/strong> on Blu-ray, presented with a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture quality isn\u2019t anything special, but it is a bright looking movie before going to darker elements later where black levels are decent enough. Detail is relatively sharp and there weren\u2019t any noticeable instances of artifacts or aliasing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

As per other MVD releases, these only come with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks (as well as 2.0) and although DTS-HD MA or TrueHD would be preferable, as it is, doesn\u2019t sound all that bad. Dialogue comes through with good clarity and even the thriller\/horror parts output some satisfactory depth.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, The Vault<\/em><\/strong> had an interesting enough premise and respectable cast led by Francesca Eastwood who is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, alongside the always entertaining James Franco, but unfortunately was poorly executed. That said, it\u2019s probably worthy of a rental.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
