Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Something horrible is happening at the old house on Mill Road. A series of ghastly accidents has occurred near the site where a witch drowned centuries earlier. But when an alcoholic minister and his family move into the cursed residence, an idealistic young priest (JAMES HOUGHTON) and a cynical police detective (ALBERT SALMI) start their own investigation into the unexplained violence. Has the daughter of Satan returned for a rampage of vengeance? Will the laws of the Church be strong enough to cast out this demon? And if evil has truly found a new home, is the entire neighborhood headed straight to hell?<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>This 1980s-era supernatural-thriller has very few scares or even intrigue though I suppose some of the make-up effects and gore-work were quasi-respectable while the acting wasn\u2019t exactly top notch, though I suppose James Houghton acquitted himself well enough. All of that said, this wasn\u2019t very good but perhaps if you have a passion for the supernatural-horror, there might be more for you here than anything I took away.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Superstition<\/em><\/strong> arrives on Blu-ray through Shout\u2019s Scream Factory line of releases where it is presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and has been given a new 1080p high-definition transfer taken from a 2K scan of the original film elements. This now 37 year old movie looks pretty damn good, while there were instances of dust marks here and there, for the most part this is a nice looking picture with sharp detail and the natural film grain and noise was left intact.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with a basic but decent enough DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track which does output good dialogue levels and some minor depth for those supernatural sequences. Nothing great of course, but as with the video, a movie released back in 1982 likely has never sounded better.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
