The Mangler<\/em><\/strong> is presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a new 1080p transfer taken from a 2K scan of the original camera negative for the unrated version (the R-rated one is not on the disc). Although there are some minor dust marks, this was a sharp looking picture and colors appear to be as originally intended.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc includes a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which isn\u2019t anything amazing, yet perfectly satisfactory, where dialogue levels are clear and there is some minor depth though the LFE channel barely registers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Although I\u2019m sure The Mangler<\/em><\/strong> has its fanbase that has grown over the years, this horror-comedy didn\u2019t do much for me, mainly with some over-the-top acting on the parts of Robert Englund and Ted Levine, even in a movie where a machine comes to life and chases people down\u2026 In any case, the Blu-ray release has good video\/audio transfers and an okay selection of bonus features.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
