Twilight Time releases Antony and Cleopatra<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray with a 1080p transfer likely given by the studio (Outsider Pictures). As such, the picture quality is on the average side. Colors are decent enough but detail can be on the softer side of things but otherwise it is a clean picture.<\/p>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track meanwhile was serviceable enough with clear dialogue, however, I did notice some hisses, though nothing too bad that it ruined the viewing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Antony and Cleopatra<\/em><\/strong> is a well done historical-drama especially considering it was Charlton Heston\u2019s directorial debut and under major financial constraints (the booklet says it had a $2.5M budget, equivalent to about $15M today), but Heston does a fine job despite being a bit too old while Hildegard Neil was at least a delight as Cleopatra (doesn\u2019t hold a candle though to Elizabeth Taylor). This Blu-ray release from Twilight Time has acceptable video and audio transfers and comes with an okay selection of bonus material.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
