Three small-time thieves (SAM STRIKE, VIRGINIA GARDNER, BRANDON MICHAEL HALL) specializing in home burglary pose as caterers for a fancy dinner party at the Malibu mansion of the extravagantly wealthy Dawson family (JULIAN MCMAHON, ROBIN TUNNEY, ERIN MORIARTY). But their plan for the perfect heist goes horribly wrong when they discover that the Dawsons and their guests are actually a support group of recovering serial killers. When one of the addicts can\u2019t resist the urge to attack, this simple cash grab becomes an all-out grab becomes an all-out battle for survival where no one is safe.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

RLJ Entertainment gets the Monster Party<\/em><\/strong> started on Blu-ray where it is presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture quality is pretty standard for a modern and likely adequately budgeted film with bright colors and good detail.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Likewise, the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track sounds perfectly fine with clear dialogue levels throughout with some modest depth for the rear channels which is mostly utilized for the ambient noises and blood-curdling screams.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Monster Party<\/em><\/strong> had a great premise about a group of \u201crecovering\u201d serial killers but that idea doesn\u2019t equate to an all that interesting movie, unfortunately despite some fine moments that aren\u2019t exploited (such as the reveal of a deformed member of the family being kept locked-up). This Blu-ray release is on the basic side with no bonus material and good video audio transfers.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
