PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/span><\/h3>\n

On a search for his missing friend Jonathan Harker (JOHN VAN EYSSEN), vampire hunter Dr. Van Helsing (PETER CUSHING) is led to Count Dracula’s (CHRISTOPHER LEE) castle. Upon arriving, Van Helsing finds an undead Harker in Dracula’s crypt and discovers that the count’s next target is Harker’s ailing\u00a0fianc\u00e9e, Lucy Holmwood (CAROL MARSH). With the help of her brother, Arthur (MICHAEL GOUGH), Van Helsing struggles to protect Lucy and put an end to Count Dracula’s parasitic reign of terror.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Warner Archive releases Horror of Dracula<\/em><\/strong> presented with a 1.66 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p transfer taken from the British Film Institute from a 2007 restoration they undertook. The picture does look pretty good, especially for something going on 60 years old and detail is fairly sharp and there is some natural film grain\/noise which only adds to the texture of the picture. There were some minor specs but nothing overly distracting or especially noticeable.<\/p>\n

The movie comes with a standard but efficient enough DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo Mono track and although dialogue did come through the center channel with fine clearness, there was some hissing and minor pops that was their throughout the film.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Horror of Dracula<\/em><\/strong> is another solid entry of the numerous Dracula films that came out dating back to the 1930s through today, and Christopher Lee yet again plays the Count with some great intensity, and worked well especially opposite Peter Cushing\u2019s Van Helsing. This Blu-ray from Warner\u2019s Archive Collection has good video, okay audio but, as per usual, was lacking in the features department.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
