But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain, Slaaaadeee (WILL ARNETT), and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!

Quick Hit Review: Although I am a DC fan, the Teen Titans Go television series was never really my type of show both in terms of the animation style and the humor. So going in, my expectations for Teen Titans Go! To the Movies were on the low side and as such, I found it enjoyable if not on the forgettable side. But the humor was often funny and did enjoy the satirical take on the superhero genre as well as some cool DC easter eggs and various voice cameos such as Nicolas Cage finally getting his opportunity to play Superman.

So, in the end I was mildly entertained by Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, although considering the series is still on the air with Cartoon Network and had received home video releases, I’m not entirely sure this feature film was necessary and might’ve been better off as a direct-to-video feature, even if the film managed to make a hair under $60 million off of a reported $10 million budget, so likely Warner received a tiny profit.
