The lives of these four lifelong friends are turned upside down after reading the infamous &#8220;50 Shades of Grey,&#8221; catapulting them into a series of outrageous life choices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/image.ibb.co\/b6iOCz\/bookclub01.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-screencapture aligncenter\" title=\"Book Club\" src=\"https:\/\/image.ibb.co\/b6iOCz\/bookclub01.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Quick Hit Review: <em>Book Club<\/em><\/strong> is a fun and utterly charming and surprisingly funny comedy with an all around wonderful ensemble cast of ladies, and some of the men, don\u2019t really get their dues especially lately. The standouts here are probably Jane Fonda and Diane Keaton as both of their stories do take up the bulk of the movie with Candice Bergen (nice to see her return in the revival of <em>Murphy Brown<\/em>) and Mary Steenburgen taking a bit of a backseat, though both of them do have their moments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I was genuinely surprised by <strong><em>Book Club<\/em><\/strong> because the trailers and TV spots I did see didn\u2019t appeal to me and truth be told, the catalyst of these ladies reading \u201c50 Shades\u201d does seem a few years too late. Even so, I admit that I did chuckle and even laughed at much of the humor and the characters were generally likeable. Is the film anything special?
