Meanwhile, she starts a relationship with neighbor Doug (KEIFER SUTHERLAND) who is also living day to day as a cab driver.

I generally did like Where Is Kyra? mostly due to Pfeiffer’s amazing performance rather than the story or artistic choices made by the director, Andrew Dosunmu (Mother of George) who apparently wasn’t satisfied with this just being a straight-forward, finely acted, drama and instead inserted an annoying score (some cues reminded me of tomandandy’s music on Resident Evil: Afterlife) not to mention terribly dark lighting that makes a Zack Snyder movie look bright and cheerful by comparison. Honestly, it was rather difficult to see what the heck was going on in some scenes, in fact towards the end a characters asks if the curtains could be opened and I was thinking “Yes, please!” I didn’t get my wish, they remained close.

For me, those choices did detract what otherwise could’ve been a solid drama.
