PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/span><\/h3>\n

When soldier Darios (RORY CALHOUN) arrives in Rhodes, King Serse (ROBERTO CAMARDIEL) has commissioned a larger-than-life statue of Apollo meant to protect the harbor. Darios immediately falls for a young maiden, Diala (LEA MASSARI), who is the daughter of the statue’s maker. In aligning himself with\u00a0Diala, Darios also becomes involved with Peliocles (GEORGES MARCHAL) and his rebels, who seek to overthrow the tyrannical king. As the revolt gets underway, so does an earthquake.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Warner Home Video releases The Colossus of Rhodes<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray through their MOD Archive program, presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and sporting a new 2018 HD master which does look quite good with decent sharpness on the close-up shots (the more distant ones does lose some detail) and some vibrant Technicolor.<\/p>\n

The disc includes a standard but effective DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track outputting crisp dialogue levels and some nice depth for the destruction sequence towards the end.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
