As they wander the wilderness and reminisce, they\u2019re struck by a rising feeling of dread: they are not alone. Desolation<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray through Shout Factory\u2019s Scream line and is presented with a 16×9 enhanced 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio. This is pretty standard fare for a movie of this ilk, the video is generally bright and detail was at least decent, especially for the close-ups while the more distant shots to lose its focus.<\/p>\n

The disc includes a basic but effective DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which does output the nature elements through the front and rear channels while dialogue levels are crisp and clean via the center speaker.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Desolation<\/em><\/strong> isn\u2019t a great indie thriller but has a few moments of actual suspense and I did mostly like the cast, otherwise it\u2019s a forgettable film destined to be deeply discounted at some point. The Blu-ray release has good video and audio transfers while the feature is pretty poor.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
