An unemployed pot-smoking slacker and amateur drummer, Anthony Stoner (TOMMY CHONG) ditches his strict parents and hits the road, eventually meeting kindred spirit Pedro de Pacas (CHEECH MARIN). While the drug-ingesting duo is soon arrested for possession of marijuana, Anthony and Pedro get released\u00a0on a technicality, allowing them to continue their many misadventures and ultimately compete in a rock band contest, where they perform the raucous tune “Earache My Eye.”<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Paramount has released Up in Smoke<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and… it looks pretty darn good, especially for a movie that came out 40 years ago. I\u2019m not sure if this underwent a major renovation but colors are generally bright and detail is sharp throughout.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This 40th Anniversary release from Paramount includes some decent bonus features and respectable video\/audio transfers.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
