PLOT SYNOPSIS

The Chastity Belt<\/em><\/strong> focuses on two headstrong characters: Gerrando (TONY CURTIS), a stubborn feudal lord determined to bend a woman to his will and Boccadoro (MONICA VITTI), a spitfire who wants to bestow her ample favors out of love, not obedience. Gerrando, recently knighted, is ready to enjoy his new castle, increased wealth and a new bride when he\u2019s summoned back to\u00a0the\u00a0Crusades on his wedding night. Entrusting his bride\u2019s honor to no-one \u2013 least of all herself \u2013 Gerrando outfits her with a\u00a0chastity\u00a0belt\u00a0and sets out for\u00a0the\u00a0Holy Land. Boccadoro promptly pursues, not for love but for\u00a0the\u00a0elusive key to her\u00a0chastity\u00a0belt.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The Chastity Belt<\/em><\/strong> marks its debut, at least in North America, on DVD through the Warner Archive MOD program and is presented in its original 16×9 enhanced widescreen and although it\u2019s far from perfect with some modest film damage (mainly dust marks and a few scratches), the colors still aren\u2019t too bad.<\/p>\n

The Dolby Digital Mono track is serviceable providing good dialogue levels but is limited for some of the more medieval action scenes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The DVD-R release from Warner offers up fine video\/audio transfers but no bonus material.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
