Season Synopsis: <\/strong>Now living in New York City and running a non-profit organization helping the Muslim community, Carrie (CLAIRE DANES) gets swept up in the aftereffects of the U.S. presidential election as she struggles to deal with an injury-ravaged Peter Quinn (RUPERT FRIEND) and an increasingly suspicious Saul Berenson (MANDY PATINKIN). When President-elect Elizabeth Keane (ELIZABETH MARVEL) battles the CIA during her transition to power, Carrie finds herself caught in the crossfire.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>I\u2019ve never been the biggest fan of Homeland<\/em><\/strong> but generally have enjoyed the suspense-thriller aspects of the series over the course of its five seasons. Now going into season six, and I guess to keep things from being too stagnant, plus interjecting what was thought to be the political environment (for certain producers thought Clinton would be elected), the series takes a left turn.<\/p>\n

The season isn\u2019t bad though I actually had more investment with the Presidential vs. FBI\/CIA aspects far more engaging compared with the Carrie subplots working at the Muslim center or dealing with the aftermath of Peter\u2019s PTSD and mental descent, however Rupert Friend\u2019s performance was well played, comparatively Claire Danes really needs better material, perhaps this was her weakest season by far and no surprise why she failed to receive a Primetime Emmy Award for the first time.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is effective providing crisp and clear dialogue and some okay depth for the various suspense-filled scenes as well as generic television canned score.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

As for the Blu-ray released by Fox, the video\/audio transfers are good while the bonus material is a bit light.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
