PLOT SYNOPSIS

A well-to-do Manhattan housewife, Alice Tate (MIA FARROW), finds her affections shifting from her stockbroker husband (WILLIAM HURT) of 16 years to saxophone player Joe Ruffalo (Joe Mantegna), a veritable stranger. After realizing her feelings, Tate begins to experience back pains and visits a Chinatown herbalist, Dr. Yang (KEYE LUKE), for a cure. Perceptive to her dilemma, Yang provides a series of magical herbal remedies to provide Tate the insight she needs to solve her problem.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Alice<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray presented in its original theatrical 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a nice looking 1080p high-definition transfer. The movie might be closing in on being 30 years old, I still was impressed with the sharp detail levels while colors are fairly vibrant and skin tones do seem natural in appearance. There is a heavy amount of normal film noise which only adds to the theatrical feel.<\/p>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track which I found serviceable and since it is a Woody Allen movie, there is plenty of dialogue to judge this lossless track on. There is some so-so depth with the ambient noise and music.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The Blu-ray released through Twilight Time has great video and nice audio transfers though the features are expectedly lacking.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
