Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Ingrid Thorburn (AUBREY PLAZA) is an unstable young woman with a checkered past of obsessive behavior. Recently released from a mental facility following an incident in which she crashed a wedding and attacked the bride, she moves to Los Angeles to befriend Taylor Sloane (ELIZABETH OLSEN), an Instagram \u201cinfluencer\u201d with a fabulous artist boyfriend (WYATT RUSSELL), a camera-ready terrier, and an array of new products and brands to promote to her followers. After Ingrid adopts a Taylor-made identity for herself, her attempts to prove she\u2019s BFF material are underway, that is, until she meets Taylor\u2019s obnoxious brother Nicky (BILLY MAGNUSSEN), who threatens to tear down her fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: Ingrid Goes West<\/em><\/strong> is a biting commentary on this age of social media combined with the ever growing issues of stalking. Honestly, dark comedies aren\u2019t always my thing and although this is very well acted especially by Aubrey Plaza, there were times it was hard to watch, only for the discomfort factor if anything. But even so, and as someone who isn\u2019t exactly in tune with what goes on with social or who is a celebrity, but the obsessions with it can be seen even if you\u2019re not steeped in that world. Of course, this isn\u2019t the first movie to take on similar subject matter, one I\u2019d recommend, if you don\u2019t mind subtitles, is Pulse<\/em>. Another recommendation, the ensemble drama, Disconnect<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
