Certain Women<\/em><\/strong> arrives on Blu-ray from The Criterion Collection and is presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part, detail isn\u2019t at all bad but the noise levels in some shots were quite drastic, not entirely sure, but perhaps it was more noticeable for the darker scenes. Otherwise, it is free of artifacts, aliasing and other flaws.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The included DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is serviceable but low key. The bulk of the film is either strictly dialogue or quieter moments with very little, if any, depth. I found this to be more centrally located in terms of the sound with only minor ambient noises coming from the front and rear speakers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Meanwhile, this Criterion Collection release isn\u2019t the best but does have good, albeit noise-heavy, video, adequate audio and some interesting interviews.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
