PLOT SYNOPSIS

Down in the murky depths of Amsterdam\u2019s famous canals lurks a murderous predator. Surfacing at night, he kills at random and disappears without a trace. As the bodies begin to pile up and mass hysteria envelopes the city, Detective Eric Visser (HUUB STAPEL) is assigned to head the investigation. Amsterdamned<\/em><\/strong> swims onto Blu-ray through Blue Underground and is presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer via a brand new 2K restoration from the original camera negative. The picture actually doesn\u2019t look half bad, detail is fairly sharp while colors are on the more muted side, but there are pops here and there. I didn\u2019t notice any major flaws like artifacting, aliasing and other flaws, which is impressive considering the film\u2019s age and budget.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with an English\/Dutch DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track that sounds relatively clear providing crisp dialogue levels, no discernible hisses or pops, with an extra boost of depth during the suspense-filled scenes. It\u2019s not going to overwhelm you or give your audio system that heavy of a workout.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The Blu-ray released by Blue Underground offers good video\/audio transfers and a nice selection of bonus features.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
