Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Lisa Pomson (MADI VODANE), a troubled, social media obsessed teen, conflicted with her sexuality and her parents misunderstanding her. When Lisa gets secretly filmed binging, purging, and masturbating, the video goes viral and she suffers extreme cyber-bullying. Suicidal, and on the brink of insanity, a beautiful, mysterious stranger \u2014 the Devil (LINDA BELLA) \u2014 strikes up an online relationship with her. They grow close and meet and the stranger offers to help in exchange for a favor: The Devil will rid her of the bullies and give Lisa fame and fortune in exchange for loyalty… and as Lisa later discovers, a baby. Lisa agrees and as the bullies die one by one, Lisa\u2019s conscious kicks in and she regrets doing the deal. The Devil threatens eternal suffering and the death of her loved ones until she finally succumbs.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review:<\/strong> The above synopsis came from the back cover and I actually had to adjust it considering it lays out the entire plot. Ok, with that out of the way, Devil\u2019s Domain<\/em><\/strong> could\u2019ve been a wickedly fun horror flick but it\u2019s hard to find it enjoyable when the topic of cyber-bullying is a core story including one scene in which, following being humiliated online, hangs herself (and our main character, Lisa, considers suicide following her ordeal). Beyond that, I suppose horror junkies might like some of the make-up effects and on that front, it\u2019s not terrible.<\/p>\n

However, this is a movie that really isn\u2019t very satisfying to watch. Oh, and Michael Madsen does have a small part, perhaps did a favor for a producer or something; can\u2019t say he phoned it in but it\u2019s not exactly a character one could get invested in. And lead actress Madi Vodane, in her first credited role, shows some promise considering the material.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Given the movie was probably done a shoe-string budget, and even seemingly utilizing some green screen to place actors in some locations, this actually doesn\u2019t look terrible, detail is a bit soft and colors aren\u2019t consistent, yet it\u2019s still not half bad, though nothing to boast about either.<\/p>\n

The movie comes with a basic Dolby Digital 5.1 track but despite not being a lossless audio codec, it\u2019s still effective enough where dialogue was clear and even some modest depth is on display especially during the \u201cdemonic\u201d scenes.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
