Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Best friends Smurfette (DEMI LOVATO), Brainy (DANNY PUDI), Clumsy (JACK MCBRAYER) and Hefty (JOE MANGIELLO) use a special map that guides them through the Forbidden Forest, an enchanted wonderland that’s filled with magical creatures. Their adventure leads them on a course to discover the biggest secret in Smurf history as they race against time and the evil wizard Gargamel (RAINN WILSON) to find a mysterious village.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>The Smurfs<\/em> franchise, the two part-live action versions, were hardly good \u2013 go so far to call them awful, so it\u2019s not an uphill battle for Smurfs: The Lost Village<\/em><\/strong> to improve on the previously installments. Now it\u2019s entirely animated, which it should\u2019ve been from the start, and while it\u2019s certainly not good, it is a mild improvement. Sadly, for comedy it\u2019s not that funny though I did manage to elicit a chuckle once, otherwise I sat there, a man in his mid-30s, biding my time until the short 90-minute running time ran out.<\/p>\n

This go around we get voice talents that included the likes of Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, singer\/songwriter Demi Lovato as Smurfette and Rainn Wilson voicing Gargamel, and honestly, he wasn\u2019t too bad but even in voice form couldn\u2019t hold a candle to Hank Azaria who was the best parts of the two previous films.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Kids at Heart: The Making of Smurfs: The Lost Village<\/em> (9:12; HD)<\/u><\/strong> is a behind-the-scenes featurette and has various people at the studio offering some insights into the project and doing voice casting.<\/p>\n

The Lost Auditions (4:14; HD)<\/u><\/strong> is a jokey feature with the voice actors, like Jack McBrayer reading for Hefty Smurf and Joe Manganiello for Azrael, etc.<\/p>\n

Demi Lovato Meets Smurfette (1:01; HD)<\/u><\/strong> has the singer \u201cmeeting\u201d the animated female smurf.<\/p>\n
