Between call girl murders, land disputes, business fallouts, and celebrity protections, private eye Dan Tanna (ROBERT URICH) has his work cut out for him. Helping him along the way is a close circle of allies including Beatrice (PHYLLIS DAVIS), Angie (JUDY LANDERS), “Binzer” (BART BRAVEMAN), and Lt. David Nelson (GREG MORRIS). Also guest starring Tony Curtis as Philip “Slick” Roth, a landlord and casino owner who always has a case that needs solving.

Quick Hit Review: Vega$ only lasted three seasons and the first, while had its moments and entirely relied on its charismatic star in Robert Ulrich, had shoddy writing and unfulfilling mystery plots. But changes were made by the end of season one and into the second added Greg Morris as a series regular and I noticed the storylines were a bit tighter and certain grating characters *cough* Angie *cough* were gratefully removed. The third season didn’t quite improve but still was more than watchable, but poor ratings and Urich, according to Wikipedia, had grown tired of the role and lack of quality writing.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5

This 18-disc set comes in an extra-extra wide clear DVD case and includes a title-embossed slip cover.
