PLOT SYNOPSIS

On the last day of high school, mild-mannered English teacher Andy Campbell (CHARLIE DAY) tries to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. Then he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (ICE CUBE), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw-down. News of the fight spreads like wildfire and it ends up becoming the very thing the school, and Campbell, need.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Warner Home Video releases Fist Fight<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray and is presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and given a fine looking 1080p high-definition transfer. It\u2019s not exactly brilliant but pretty much is on par with most comedies, meaning bright colors, natural looking skin tones and some decent enough, and sharp, detail.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Fist Fight<\/em><\/strong> is exactly what I was expecting: Charlie Day\u2019s talents being underutilized, Ice Cube scowling most of the time, jokes falling completely flat and a story being stretched even with its short 85-minute running time (sans credits). On the plus side, I suppose there are worse ways to spend that kind of time, but this at best a rental. The Blu-ray released by Warner offers decent video\/audio transfers but is thin in the features department.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
