PLOT SYNOPSIS

Four intrepid astronauts \u2014 John Borden (HUGH MARLOWE), Dr. Eldon Galbraithe (NELSON LEIGH), Herbert Ellis (ROD TAYLOR) and Henry Jaffe (CHRISTOPHER DARK) \u2014 successfully complete mankind\u2019s first Mars mission, only to run afoul of a warp in space. Tossed centuries into the future, they discover an Earth devastated by nuclear war, where mutant beast-men rule the surface. Underground is a society marked by listless males and lustful ladies. Trapped in a tomorrow they never made, the four astronauts take on the mutant and the malicious while fighting to bring humanity back to the surface.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

World Without End<\/em><\/strong> crashes onto Blu-ray through Warner\u2019s Archive Collection and is presented in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part, this is a decent looking picture with a nice color array from the bright red in the title to more natural tones in this future earth. I didn\u2019t see any notice instances of dust marks, aliasing or other flaws so it appears to be a clean transfer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono track which sounds adequate enough though I did notice, especially with the score, it topped out a few times. Otherwise, dialogue levels were rather clear and there was a moderate amount of depth when it came to the audio effects (such as when the space ship crash landed).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
