U.S. Army General Douglas MacArthur (LIAM NEESON) is appointed head of the United Nations Command at the height of the Korean War.<\/p>\n

As the conflict\u2019s darkest days drag on and beleaguered U.S. and South Korean forces become disheartened, MacArthur dispatches eight elite, South Korean military men on a suicide mission code-named Operation Chromite, a covert operation to infiltrate North Korean headquarters far behind enemy lines.<\/p>\n

Led by Navy Lieutenant Hak-soo Jang (JUNG-JAE LEE), the courageous \u201cX-Ray\u201d intelligence unit finds themselves pitted against not only ruthless North Korean commander Gye-jin Lim (BEOM-SU LEE) and his men, but the Russian and Chinese troops supporting them.<\/p>\n

Battle for Incheon: Operation Chromite<\/em><\/strong> was released by CJ Entertainment presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer and a 2.39 widescreen aspect ratio. The picture here is a bit washed out, probably in keeping with the era and tone of the movie but at least detail was fairly sharp and the transfer does look clean.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

There are a few options available, but the default is an English dubbed DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which I switched off and turned on the Korean DTS-HD MA track instead as the dubbing is pretty bad. Still, dialogue levels sounded fine and with the action picking up in the third act, there is some nice depth.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Battle for Incheon: Operation Chromite<\/em><\/strong> is a well made and interesting story from a war that hasn\u2019t been well represented in film form. The performances seem fine (I guess, can\u2019t tell with foreign films) though Liam Neeson did tend to chew the scenery as MacArthur. The Blu-ray released by CJ Entertainment offers good video and audio transfers but the featurette is thin.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
