Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>On his way to be executed, the vehicle containing notorious serial killer Jack Frost (SCOTT MACDONALD) collides with a hazardous chemical truck, turning Jack into a snow covered mutant and unleashing him on the unsuspecting town of Snomonton, \u2018The Snowman Capitol of the Midwest\u2019. Jack immediately takes advantage of his newfound freedom and blizzardly abilities to seek revenge on the bungling Sheriff (CHRISTOPHER ALLPORT) that accidentally ended his cross-country killing spree.<\/p>\n

On his way to the Sheriff, Jack terrorizes the snow-man themed town and murders its residents in a variety of winterized ways. Can the residents of Snomonton fight back against the psychopath snowman from Hell or will they end up in a snow-covered grave?<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>I\u2019ve heard of Jack Frost<\/em><\/strong> before but don\u2019t recall seeing it before and as a first viewing, as schlocky and cheesy as it is, with over-the-top performances and bad writing, I had a lot of fun and laughed at most of the jokes. Sure, it\u2019s hardly amazing and I\u2019m not sure if this will be on my Christmas watch-list alongside Christmas Vacation<\/em> or Home Alone<\/em>, yet it was an enjoyable experience especially if you embrace its utter goofiness and cheap production values.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Vinegar Syndrome unleashes Jack Frost<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture quality isn\u2019t half bad for a low grade, mid-90s horror with a decent color array, natural-looking skin tones and sharp, well defined detail throughout.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which doesn\u2019t make full usage of all of the channels but dialogue levels still sounded crisp and clear and when the killing starts, and screams erupt, the depth does begin to show, however nothing I\u2019d call robust as most of the action seems front-loaded.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
