Set in the American West of the 1940s, director Alan J. Pakula\u2019s Comes a Horseman<\/strong><\/em> gives us a pair of little-guy ranchers (JAMES CAAN, JANE FONDA) who join forces against the depredations of a ruthless land baron (JASON ROBARDS) determined to expand his empire at whatever cost.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

On Twilight Time\u2019s site, they acknowledge the transfer isn\u2019t the best with numerous bouts of scratches, dirt and other film damage and indeed, it is littered with it from beginning to end. Even so, the movie, presented here in its original 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio, and a 1080p high-definition transfer, at least does have decent detail throughout and colors are by and large vibrant.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with a serviceable DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track and for what is generally dialogue-heavy film, that\u2019s all one would expect. There is a moderate amount of depth when the action does pick up particularly during the finale and for a movie where the video elements weren\u2019t the best, and one going on nearly 40 years old, it\u2019s an impressive lossless track.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
