Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>Mike Regan (PIERCE BROSNAN) is a successful, self-made man who has it all: a gorgeous wife (ANNA FRIEL), a beautiful teenage daughter (STEFANIE SCOTT), and a sleek, state-of-the-art “smart home.” But he soon finds himself in a deadly, high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse when his I.T. consultant (JAMES FRECHEVILLE) starts using his skills to stalk Mike’s daughter and endanger his family, his business, and his life. In a world where there is no privacy, and personal secrets can go viral by the click of a mouse, Mike needs to rely on his old connections to defeat a new kind of nemesis.<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>Dumb, predictable and really falls off the rails in the third act, not to mention this seems like a script dug from the 1990s, I.T.<\/em><\/strong> saves itself from the garbage heap mainly due to Pierce Brosnan and some decently tense scenes (one anyway) before an ending where it seems director John Moore (Max Payne<\/em>, A Good Day to Die Hard<\/em>) just gave up including a half-assed fight scene.<\/p>\n

At best this is a rental though since it was distributed by RLJ Entertainment, you might be able to pick this one up on the cheap and if you\u2019re a fan of Brosnan\u2019s non-Bond ventures, you might find some entertainment value, however for me it was a one-and-done viewing.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

I.T.<\/em><\/strong> arrives on Blu-ray through RLJ Entertainment presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture quality isn\u2019t bad but there\u2019s much to be desired. Detail is decent enough while colors are natural looking while darker scenes showcase a fine starkness while keeping the aforementioned detail. There were no obvious signs of aliasing or artifacts but thanks to a low bit rate, there were times that the picture was a bit weak.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which provides for crisp and clean dialogue levels and when the action does pick up, especially one of the more tense scenes, this lossless track does come to life, the LFE channel specifically to the point where my floor was shaking rather effectively.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, I.T.<\/em><\/strong> may not be a good movie and certainly the script could\u2019ve gone through a few more re-writes, but thanks to Pierce Brosnan\u2019s earnest performance, and a cameo from Michael Nyqvist, this is worthy of a rental but not much more than that. The Blu-ray released by RLJ Entertainment offers up decent video and audio but is limited in the bonus material department.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
