PLOT SYNOPSIS

Clarence and Rell (KEEGAN-MICHAEL KEY, JORDAN PEELE) are two cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu, is catnapped, the hopelessly straitlaced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Warner releases Keanu<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in its original 2.40 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. In keeping with the more comedic tone, albeit dark at times, the color scheme tends to be bright and cheerful while detail looks relatively sharp and well defined throughout.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track isn\u2019t anything special but gets the job done. Outside of some gunplay, particularly during the opening and ending sequences, the bulk of the film is dialogue driven with splashes of score and music shining through quite well. The depth is lacking but on the whole, it\u2019s an adequate lossless track.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Keanu<\/em><\/strong> is a cute, sometimes funny, comedy from Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key and while the jokes don\u2019t always land, the satirizing of various other movies did manage a few chuckles out of me. The Blu-ray released by Warner is limited in the features department, the video looks great and the audio is sufficient.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
