<\/a>Evils of the Night<\/em><\/strong> is your typical but fun cheesy 1980s sci-fi\/horror film with some questionable acting (not sure what Julie Newmar was doing in this), laughable dialogue and some lovely T&A any boy growing up during that era would\u2019ve enjoyed.<\/p>\n

Vinegar Syndrome distributes Evils of the Night<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer (MPEG-4 AVC codec) from the original 35mm camera negative and restored in 2K resolution. It\u2019s not a half bad looking transfer considering it\u2019s a B horror movie from the mid-80s; colors are generally muted but there are splashes here and there and detail appears sharp and well defined. Now I did notice some film damage (a vertical line is visible in one shot) but there didn\u2019t seem to be any major instances of scratches or dust mark so it is at least a well done restoration.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with a basic but effective DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track and as such, dialogue was clean and it is robust enough even if all of the audio is relegated to the center channel. Music blares through with gusto and although there was a tad bit of noise, any pops or hisses were apparently removed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Evils of the Night<\/em><\/strong> is your typical but fun cheesy 1980s sci-fi\/horror film with some questionable acting (not sure what Julie Newmar was doing in this), laughable dialogue and some lovely T&A any boy growing up during that era would\u2019ve enjoyed. The Blu-ray released through Vinegar Syndrome is pretty good with upgraded video and audio transfers although the features are a tad light.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
