<\/a>No Escape<\/em><\/strong> is an all around entertaining film perfect for a Saturday movie night. No, it doesn\u2019t make you think or have any profound performances but the acting isn\u2019t bad with Owen Wilson serving as a fine everyman type of character and Pierce Brosnan in his small part is a lot of fun. This is probably worthy of a rental.<\/p>\n

Writer\/Director Frank D. Gilroy (The Subject Was Roses<\/em>) gives us, in From Noon Till Three<\/em><\/strong>, an atypical Charles Bronson Western that\u2019s also a meditation on myth versus reality. Bronson plays a reluctant desperado whose three-hour tryst with a lovely widow (JILL IRELAND) is turned into stuff of legend when he is mistakenly reported dead.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Twilight Time releases From Noon Till Three<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray shown in the film\u2019s original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. The video is a mixed bag with some nice detail in many shots and yet dust marks and scratches are noticeable throughout. Colors are decent enough but hardly vibrant though it\u2019s looks more or less in line with many other films from the 1970s.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The movie comes with an effective enough, if only basic, DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 track where dialogue was generally clean and understandable while the music, from maestro Elmer Bernstein, comes through the center channel rather favorably. This isn\u2019t the best sounding lossless track but given it is a 40 year old western, it\u2019s not bad.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, From Noon Till Three<\/em><\/strong> is an OK western-romance-comedy and while I do tend to like Charles Bronson, not entirely sure he\u2019s what one thinks for when it comes to romance, he tends to be at his best with darker material. As it is, if you\u2019re a fan of the quirk, this might be worth checking out. As for the Blu-ray from Twilight Time has above average video and audio while the features are basically non-existent.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
