<\/a>Romeo is Bleeding<\/em><\/strong> is certainly a unique movie though also kind of typical Gary Oldman from the 1990s turning in a bizarrely fascinating performance as does Lena Olin who manages to keep up with his insanity, and at times topping it. It\u2019s not perfect but with Oldman and Olin, well worth checking out.<\/p>\n

Romeo is Bleeding<\/em><\/strong>, directed by Peter Medak (The Ruling Class<\/em>) from a screenplay by Hilary Henkin (Wag the Dog<\/em>), is a rough-and-tumble neo-noir surrounding a corrupt, and ruthless, cop (GARY OLDMAN) who gets in over his head when he falls for the ultimate femme fatale (LENA OLIN) while getting in hot water with a mobster (ROY SCHEIDER) while the lives of his wife (ANNABELLA SCIORRA) and mistress (JULIETTE LEWIS) are in danger.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Twilight Time releases Romeo is Bleeding<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part, it\u2019s a fine looking picture with decent detail and colors are subdued probably in keeping with the noir genre. There were some instances of dust marks and specs so it\u2019s not exactly clean but all in all, a modest step up from its DVD counterpart.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, Romeo is Bleeding<\/em><\/strong> is certainly a unique movie though also kind of typical Gary Oldman from the 1990s turning in a bizarrely fascinating performance as does Lena Olin who manages to keep up with his insanity, and at times topping it. It\u2019s not perfect but with Oldman and Olin, well worth checking out. The Blu-ray released through Twilight Time offers good video and great audio but falls well short in the features department.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
