<\/a>The Perfect Man<\/em><\/strong> isn\u2019t your run-of-the-mill romantic comedy so that\u2019s a plus, unfortunately it\u2019s not very funny in spite of a well rounded cast. Still, I guess I\u2019ve seen worse and might say it\u2019s worth a rental but not much more than that.<\/p>\n

PLOT SYNOPSIS

Charlie (TERRENCE J) is a bachelor who’s convinced that relationships are dead despite attempts by his therapist sister (PAULA PATTON) and his friends to tell him otherwise. On a bet, he decides to stay with one woman for one month to prove that he is immune to love. Soon, he meets the beautiful and mysterious Eva (CASSIE VENTURA) and coaxes her into a casual affair. Making The Perfect Match<\/em> (10:22; HD)<\/u><\/strong> is a basic behind-the-scenes featurette with comments by the cast and crew discussing characters and plot mixed around scenes from the movie.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Love Without Comedy? (5:05; HD)<\/u><\/strong> explores the comedic elements of the film.<\/p>\n

Let the Good Times Roll (1:24; HD)<\/u><\/strong> is just a compilation of outtakes.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Lionsgate releases The Perfect Match<\/em><\/strong> onto Blu-ray presented in its original 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. Although it\u2019s not terribly sharp as it has that digital clean look to it, colors at least were bright and vibrant in keeping with the comedic genre and there were no major instances of artifacts or aliasing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track offered up isn\u2019t anything special though does provide for clear dialogue levels and especially comes to life with the soundtrack with some choice music and a generic rom-com, not to mention ambient noises, score making usage of the front and rear channels. Again, it isn\u2019t noteworthy but certainly half-decent.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, The Perfect Man<\/em><\/strong> isn\u2019t your run-of-the-mill romantic comedy so that\u2019s a plus, unfortunately it\u2019s not very funny in spite of a well rounded cast. The Blu-ray released through Lionsgate offers up good video\/audio transfers with some ho-hum bonus features highlighted by a director\/cast commentary track.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
