Plot Synopsis: <\/strong>What happens when Batman (TROY BAKER) takes a vacation, leaving the Justice League to watch over Gotham City? Why, chaos, of course! When the Joker (JASON SPISAK) tricks Superman (NOLAN NORTH) into releasing Gotham\u2019s most villainous rogues from Arkham Asylum, it\u2019s up to Robin the Boy Wonder (SCOTT MENVILLE), Cyborg (KHARY PAYTON) and Wonder Woman (GREY GRIFFIN) to save the day.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Batman\u2019s vacation is anything but relaxing as he, Batgirl (SARAH HYLAND) and Nightwing (WILL FRIEDLE) discover a fiendish plot by Deathstroke (JOHN DIMAGGIO) and the sinister Bane (ERIC BAUZA) to create an army of mass destruction!<\/p>\n

Quick Hit Review: <\/strong>I consider these direct-to-video LEGO releases to be stop-gaps for the main course, namely The LEGO Movie 2<\/em> and LEGO Batman<\/em>. These have lower production value and the writing doesn\u2019t even compare where the jokes mostly elicit, at most, chuckles. That said, the animation itself isn\u2019t terrible and the voice talents do give it their all but make no mistake, LEGO DC Super Heroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout<\/em><\/strong> is geared more towards younger viewers but thanks to a short 75-minute running time, it\u2019s tolerable for the adults.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This release comes housed in a cardboard box which also has a Nightwing LEGO Minifigure. Also included is a redemption code for the Digital HD<\/u><\/strong> copy and DVD Copy<\/u><\/strong>. Unfortunately, no actual features were included.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Justice League: Gotham City Breakout<\/em><\/strong> is presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. As with the other LEGO movies, this shows off good detail to go along with bright, vibrant colors throughout. There were no major signs of artifacts, aliasing or banding making for a pleasing looking HD transfer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The disc comes with an adequate DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which at least provides for clear dialogue levels and the various action sequences come through each channel well enough, however the track does lack some depth where the LFE channel barely kicked in if at all. That being said, it\u2019s more than satisfactory especially for a movie aimed at a younger audience.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Overall, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout<\/em><\/strong> is pretty much in line with their other entries: the storytelling isn\u2019t great, animation standard and the focus is primarily geared towards kids though adults will find it semi-entertaining. The Blu-ray released through Warner is rather basic with no bonus features while the video\/audio transfers were above average.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
