PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The sadistic and psychopathic Colonel Hogan (DAVID CAMPBELL) is a mercenary for hire who finds a benefactor in Don Michaelson (TROY DONAHUE), a ruthless businessman in need of skilled killers for a special assignment. It\u2019s a win-win for both sides. Michaelson will finance Hogan\u2019s training camp and Hogan will use his trained mercenaries to help out Michaelson.<\/p>\n

Hogan has manpower. What he doesn\u2019t have is the prey to hunt in preparation for the big day. His solution: troll the streets of Los Angeles and randomly abduct people. What Hogan didn\u2019t count on was that one of those people would be Mike Danton (TED PRIOR). Danton, a Marine with killer skills, doesn\u2019t take too kindly to being kidnapped. Hogan, Michaelson and the mercenaries are in for a world of pain.<\/p>\n

Nothing great but at least there are some features. First up is a Photo Gallery (6:35)<\/u><\/strong> of cover artwork, TV shirts, posters, etc; Dubbed Prey (6:09)<\/u><\/strong> are dubbing from different countries; Trailer (0:55)<\/u><\/strong>; Interview (14:46)<\/u><\/strong> with Makeup Effects Artist Jack Hojohn; and lastly some Outtakes (3:50)<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

VIDEO \u2013 1.25\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Wow, I can say this is one of the worst if not THE worst video transfers I\u2019ve come across. Now, the back cover does state that this was culled from the \u201cbest available elements\u201d and \u201cnot sourced from an HD Master; remastered from PAL Beta SP\u201d and then \u201cupconverted\u201d to Blu-ray. Needless to say, this 1080p transfer is terrible with little to no detail, colors are somewhat washed out and there are dust marks, dirt and other ailments seen throughout. There are also vertical lines in many shots making for an all around ugly looking picture.

AUDIO \u2013 2.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track doesn\u2019t fair a whole lot better with flat dialogue, no depth whatsoever and when the action does pick up, it sounds muffled from the movie\u2019s cheap sound design. On the plus side, what there is, I didn\u2019t notice many instances of crackling so that\u2019s a positive, but that\u2019s about the only good I can say about it…<\/p>\n
