Blissfully romantic, witty, and shrewd, Emma Thompson\u2019s adaptation of Jane Austen\u2019s Sense and Sensibility<\/em><\/strong> is brought to the screen by director Ang Lee. Thompson also stars as the reserved Elinor Dashwood and Kate Winslet as her more impulsive younger sister, navigating a world in which love and money are often distressingly intertwined. They\u2019re joined by the scintillating likes of Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Greg Wise, Gemma Jones, Harriet Walter, Imelda Slaunton, and Hugh Laurie.<\/p>\n

Elegance & Simplicity: The Wardrobe of Sense and Sensibility <\/em>(3:57)<\/u><\/strong> focuses in on the costume design bringing that era to life.<\/p>\n

Sense and Sensibility<\/em><\/strong> comes to Blu-ray courtesy of Twilight Time shown in its original 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and presented with a 1080p high-definition transfer. It\u2019s actually a pleasing looking picture with good detail levels throughout while colors, although not brilliant, still have a nice pop to it. The transfer looks clean, free of dust marks, scratches or other flaws.

AUDIO \u2013 4.0\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The movie comes with both a 2.0 and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks and you couldn\u2019t go wrong with either with the latter providing a tad more depth with the additional channels. Dialogue levels sound crisp and clear with no discernible hissing and the score, by Patrick Doyle, gives the track good life making use of the front and rear channels.<\/p>\n
