However, there are some noticeable dust marks and scratches here and there and the noise is quite heavy in some spots, especially darkly lit shots which makes detail levels a rough in some instances. Colors are generally toned down in keeping with the crime-drama genre.<br \/>\n<a name=\"audio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AUDIO \u2013 3.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The movie was given a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track and for the most part, it\u2019s not bad. Dialogue levels sound clear enough but it is limited with its range. The majority of the audio is centrally located however the rear speakers make excellent use for Ennio Morricone\u2019s amazing score which probably deserved award recognition and for those interested, can be heard via the isolated score track.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"*\" src=\"http:\/\/www.moviemansguide.com\/images\/main\/bar_blue.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"3\" \/><br \/>\n<a name=\"overall\"><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/4y7SagE.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-screencapture aligncenter\" title=\"State of Grace\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/4y7SagE.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>OVERALL \u2013 2.5\/5<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, <strong><em>State of Grace<\/em><\/strong> might not be the most well known drama especially in Sean Penn\u2019s extensive filmography but it is a well done, if not overdrawn, flick worth checking out mainly for the performances especially by Gary Oldman who is at his finest.
