PLOT SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The debut film of writer-director Neil Jordan (Mona Lisa<\/em>, The Crying Game<\/em>), Angel<\/em><\/strong> indirectly examines the Irish \u201ctroubles\u201d by focusing on Danny (STEPHEN REA), an innocent saxophonist who witnesses the murder of his band\u2019s manager and a deaf-mute bystander. His life subsequently falls apart, destroying his relationship with the band\u2019s singer (HONOR HEFFERMAN) and leading him to vow vengeance.<\/p>\n

The picture actually doesn\u2019t look half bad with good detail and colors appear to be nicely balanced without seeming artificially pumped up and some minor natural film grain.

The movie comes with a decent 2.0 channel DTS-HD Master Audio track which is fine providing good levels for the variety of music, on-screen and off, but the dialogue often seemed to be a product of bad ADR work as it would more often than not be at a higher volume than anything around them. In any case, it is an adequate lossless track though hardly perfect.<\/p>\n
