Dark Night of the Scarecrow 2 comes to Blu-ray though MVD Visual, presented with a 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. Given this was likely done on a strict budget this isn’t going to look incredible and some of the colors were really bright (guessing it was the type of camera). Detail is decent enough but the lower budget does show. I really didn’t notice any artifacts or pixilation so at least it does look clean, if not too clean as there is no texture whatsoever. The disc only has a standard Dolby Digital 5.1 track which was functional. Dialogue comes across with okay clarity and the more horror-centric aspects had modest depth. Nothing amazing but serviceable enough. |
