Although not an amazing movie, Molly at least does feature an impressive performance from its star, Julia Batelaan, and some notable one-shot fight sequences.

The opinions I share are my own.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

In a barren landscape ravished by war, Molly (JULIA BATELAAN), a super-powered young woman, roams the violent post-apocalyptic landscape, armed only with a bow and arrow. When a sadistic ringmaster (JOOST BOLT) who runs an underground fight club hears of her supernatural abilities, he sends his sociopathic marauders to capture her and make her a star attraction in his cage fights to the death.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 2.5/5

This release comes with a pretty in-depth Making-of featurette and Audio Commentary with Directors Colina Bongers and Thijs Meuwese.

VIDEO – 3.5/5

The Blu-ray is presented with a 1.85 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. The picture is pretty much what you would expect from a post-apocalypse world which means drab colors and lots and lots of natural tones. Detail isn’t always the best as some shots are terrible sharp while black levels are somewhat stark with no apparent instances of artifacting or aliasing.

AUDIO – 3.75/5

The movie comes with a functional if not also basic DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track which does offer good dialogue levels via the center speaker while the depth is decent however nothing incredible.

OVERALL – 2.5/5

Although not an amazing movie, Molly at least does feature an impressive performance from its star, Julia Batelaan, and some notable one-shot fight sequences. The Blu-ray release has good video/audio transfers and a so-so bonus material selection.
