Chain of Command is the latest of a long string of direct-to-video action flicks with bad acting, terrible dialogue and a poor plot. The only good thing I guess I can say the newcomer, who has no other titles to her credit, Ashleigh Barnett isn’t bad, so that’s something?

SPECIAL FEATURES – 0/5
This release only comes with a redemption code for the Digital HD copy.
VIDEO – 3.5/5
Lionsgate releases Chain of Command presented with a 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and a 1080p high-definition transfer. The movie, being direct-to-video, looks it and appears to have been shot digitally so it has a very glossy tone. Colors are generally fine though skin tones do have somewhat of a waxy texture. The transfer itself, though, is clean, free of aliasing and artifacts.
AUDIO – 3.0/5
The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track is rather basic with OK dialogue levels but the action centric scenes are pretty flat and don’t show off much depth. The rear channels do get some work with ambient noises and the generic score but generally speaking, it’s at best an average lossless track.
OVERALL – 1.25/5
Overall, Chain of Command is the latest of a long string of direct-to-video action flicks with bad acting, terrible dialogue and a poor plot. The only good thing I guess I can say the newcomer, who has no other titles to her credit, Ashleigh Barnett isn’t bad, so that’s something? The Blu-ray itself is basic with no bonus material while the video and audio transfers are at best adequate.
