Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post.
The opinions I share are my own.

PLOT SYNOPSIS

A father (JOSH HARTNETT) and teen daughter (ARIEL DONAGHUE) attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.

SPECIAL FEATURES – 3/5

This release comes with a glossy slip cover and inside is a redemption code for the Digital HD copy. There are two featurettes Setting the Trap: A New M. Night Shyamalan Experience and Saleka as Lady Raven as well as some Deleted Scenes and Extended Concert Scene.

VIDEO – 4½/5

Trap comes to 4K Ultra HD from Warner Bros. where it’s presented with a 2.35 widescreen aspect ratio and a 2160p high-definition transfer. The picture looks fairly nice with sharp detail and a good balance of color mixed in with solid black levels.

AUDIO – 4¾/5

The movie comes with a robust Dolby Atmos track which does take advantage of the concert setting with not only the pop songs (by Shyamalan’s daughter, Saleka Night) but the screams of hundreds of teenage girls. Dialogue comes across the center channel with good clarity as well.
