PLOT SYNOPSIS |
When Shaggy (CASEY KASEM) tales Scooby amd Scrappy-Doo (DON MESSICK) to the Southern plantation he’s inherited from his Uncle Beauregard, they find a creepy manservant, a collection of ghostly tenants, and a fortune in family jewels hidden somewhere on the estate! Terrified, Scooby and Shaggy call in the services of the Boo Brothers – Freako, Streako and Maeko – a team of barely scary ghosts. But as ghosts chase ghosts, they all chase Scooby, Scrappy and Shaggy from one end of the estate to the other, through trap doors and secret tunnels, onto runaway contraptions and into dangerous booby traps, with hairbreadth escapes at every turn. |

Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers comes to Blu-ray through the Warner Bros. Archive Collection and from what I’ve read has received a new HD transfer. Being that this aired way back in 1987, the picture quality doesn’t look too bad. Colors are well balanced and it does appear fairly clean of any major film damage. The included DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 track is decent if not serviceable. Dialogue comes across well enough though the track does top out whenever the action picks up. As this aired for television, I wouldn’t expect anything incredible. |
