PLOT SYNOPSIS

The best way to stop an epidemic’s spread is to cut it off at the source… but what if the disease is crime and the cancerous vectors are those who’re immune to the normal forces of law and order? Enter Black Label, a team of top-notch medical professionals and students with personal vendettas who’ve decided that it’s time to set the Hippocratic oath aside while they administer retribution, dispense justice, and amputate the festering evils that infect our world. Will the efforts of an MD who moonlights as a master swordsman, the world’s most lethal nurse, an explosives happy idol, and a pair of high school students with straight A’s in Vendetta be enough to stem the tide of corruption?

SPECIAL FEATURES – 1½/5

This two-disc release comes in a standard Blu-ray case. Features include Clean Opening & Closing Animations, an Interview with voice actor and finally some Japanese Promos.

VIDEO – 4¼/5, AUDIO – 4/5

Sentai releases Triage X onto Blu-ray where it’s presented in its originally televised 1.78 widescreen aspect ratio and given a 1080p high-definition transfer. For the most part this is a pleasant looking picture where colors are well balanced and black levels stark without losing the detail within. There was some minor banding that sometimes permeates these animated shows and features but it is minimal and hardly distracting.

Each episode comes with an acceptable Japanese-language DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo track. Dialogue comes across with good clarity and depth was fine with some okay depth, however nothing terribly impressive.
